Thank you very much indeed for your talk today and for showing us the beautiful hawks, falcon and barn owl in your care.

I learned so many new things about raptors, but most of all, I enjoyed seeing your connection to and respect for such beautiful creatures and understanding of their place in the natural world.

It must be hard work for you giving them the commitment and quality of life they deserve. They are fortunate to be with you and, along with the responsibility for them, they must surely bring you joy and awe every day.

We had an amazing couple of hours handling and learning all about Anita's Harris Hawk (Guinness) a beautiful bird of prey. Totally relaxed and informal walk through woodland around Chawton House (near Jane Austen's House). There was a group of 6 of us and we were all able to actively participate in the experience. Anita was friendly and knowledgeable and made us all feel totally at ease. At the end of the walk we were able to change birds and Wilf (the Barn Owl) allowed us to take some wonderful photos.

Had an amazing walk with Anita and Wilfred as a surprise for my wife's birthday. It was another brilliant day; I had the privilege of a walk earlier this year with the wonderful Trinity.
Nita was so good and knowledgeable about Barn owls, their behaviour and it is so special to see the bond between her and Wilfred.
The location is an absolute dream and we were so lucky to have a bonus sighting of a Goshawk (a first for me)

We just returned from almost three weeks in England. Our hawk walk with Anita and Guinness was the best thing we did. Walking through the lovely woodland she manages and getting to see first hand the beauty and grace of the Harris hawk was unforgettable. Anita is a superb guide and teacher! For lifelong nature lovers and bird lovers this was magical. Getting to meet Wilf the barn owl put our time completely over the top. Thank you, Anita! We highly recommend this, and hope to bring our grandchildren back one day to experience the joy of a hawk walk!

This is the fourth time that I have benefited from Anita's excellent knowledge and experience. Anita has an excellent attitude and is passionate about all of her animals. Of course, the birds of prey are the real stars. It is really rather magical when a buzzard, owl or hawk is perched on a gloved hand. It is even more special when they fly and land on the gauntlet. This is a thoroughly recommended experience for people of all ages who benefit from such up close privileged access to these wonderful birds.

Received a gift for my 40th birthday back in January and waited until August to book due to better weather. Although I would not have chosen to do this myself, I am happy to have had this experience, seeing one of these halks in its natural environment. Anita was most knowledgeable and clearly loves her job to bits and was wonderful to see the relationship between her and Caffrey. Took my in laws and 7 year old daughter, who also had an amazing time. Would thoroughly recommend this experience to anyone. Thank you once again Anita.

My daughter and I would like to thank Anita and her lovely Harris Hawk Serenity, call name Seren, for the most wonderful two hours spent in their company. We both learnt so much about birds of prey and the peace and quiet of Chawton House meadows and a beautiful private wood is something to behold. Seren was an expert at flying through the trees her beautiful sweep up to the hand when called is amazing. Anita is passionate about her birds, her enthusiasm definitely rubs off. A perfect Christmas gift! We recently used the easy to buy voucher my wife gifted me, and had an absolutely amazing experience. Anita had given a fascinating talk (with accompanying birds of prey) to a group we belong to, and that led to the gift.

Making the booking was easy – Anita’s website is fabulous. After booking, communication was excellent and we were clear what to wear, where and when to turn up, and what in general terms would occur. We were even able to choose which of the two locations to have our hawk experience in.

Anita is tremendously personable and friendly. We were about her 1,300th or so customers, but she made us both feel very special by her enthusiasm for her passion, and her interest in our questions. She answered then all clearly, opening up for further conversation about falconry, keeping birds of prey and the birds’ natural environments. It was absolutely perfect.

We had a wonderful Harris Hawk called Casper. He was a joy to be with. Attentive, slightly cheeky, intelligent and handsome (are birds handsome?). He enthralled us with his behaviour, following us as Anita is the ‘pack’ leader. He flew from tree to tree, majestically swooping down to land on one of our gauntlets when summoned. He also hunted, searching for prey and diving down to try to capture some.

We felt completely safe throughout, as Anita took great care to emphasise how we must behave with Casper, and she gently ensured we followed her instructions.

It was a very memorable day out. We highly recommend the experience and feel it was excellent value for money.

Watching the Harris Hawk Sherlock fly and hunt in the woodland this week was amazing. His effortless flight and majesty was a joy to watch. No other people were around other than our group of three including the very knowledgeable Anita. We learned so much about the birds, how they hunt and the history of falconry. And more besides.
A Hawk Walk made a wonderful birthday gift for someone (me) who is otherwise difficult to buy for!
I would do it again in the blink of an eye. Being able to spend time with such a wonderful creature and see it in a natural environment was and absolute treat.

An amazing experience. We treated our grandson to an owl walk with Anita and Wilf, a sweet, gentle young Barn Owl. A wonderful sunny, late afternoon walking and flying through the beautiful leafy woodland of Chawton House. Our grandson beamed with delight as Wilf flew to his glove time after time. It was a unique experience having a Barn Owl to ourselves, accompanied by his ‘Mum’ Anita who has such a passion for falconry, wildlife and the countryside. She assisted in a gentle way, was full of information, and made the whole experience very memorable. Our many thanks Anita for sharing Wilf with us.

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to fly your Harris's Hawk Caffrey. It was great to become part of Caffrey's 'family' and see him in action in the lovely woodland setting. You are clearly passionate about your life with raptors, and incredibly knowledgeable; consequently it was fascinating to hear about the history of falconry and the traits of different raptors.

I spent the most magical hour with Anita, Willow and my family at Chawton House on a very blustery day, I had the privilege to watch Willow flying and landing on mine and my kids gloves in turn. Anita is the very best of hosts and clearly has a deep passion for her birds. the setting of Chawton house just added to the special nature of the day. Willow flew beautifully and showed how graceful barn owls are. I can thoroughly recommend visiting Hampshire Hawk Walks, you will have a memory to cherish.

Myself and my 10 year old Granddaughter Emily had the immense and unique pleasure of handling Willow the Owl and Caffrey the Harris Hawk whilst my son Martin spectated and took photographs.
To be so up close and face to face with such beautiful, magnificent creatures was amazing.
Caffrey gave an absolutely Stella performance and display of his flying and hunting skills.
Anita your encyclopedic knowledge and passion for your birds was a joy to share, we all came away with so much knowledge about skills and differences of the various types of Hawkes, brilliant.
A splendid day out that we would thoroughly recommend to all, young and old.

Wow! What an amazing experience! Anita is so knowledgeable about falconry. Guiness, what a handsome young bird. This is something ticked off my bucket list. It wasn’t as I expected it to be. It was so much more!! I suffer from a bad back and was worried all the walking would have me in a lot of pain. We walked at a nice slow pace, chatted the whole way and interacted with Guiness. Can not recommend highly enough! I’m still grinning from ear to ear thinking about it! I may have to treat myself next year! Also you could see the hawk, Guiness, was in fabulous condition so you know they are looked after properly. Thank you Anita and Guiness for a fabulous day xx

What a great experience, walking through woods at Four Marks with Anita and London! Anita is so knowledgeable that the two hours went in a flash. London flying onto my hand and feeding was amazing. This was arranged as a birthday present by my husband, so thank you…

I booked a hawk walk as a surprise birthday present for my husband. We had a wonderful afternoon, with Anita and her hawk Guinness. The time disappeared between watching Guiness, flying and listening to Anita talking about her hawks. Her enthusiasm is very infectious, and we both learned a lot about falconry. My husband has said it was his best birthday present, and would love a repeat experience.

I bought the woodland Hawk Walk as a Christmas present for my husband, and it truly was the most magical experience for us both! Anita met us at the woods with two of her beautiful harris hawks, Sherlock and Guinness, who were going to be flying with us on the walk, and before we set out, we learnt about their different characters. Anita is brilliant company, and so passionate about her birds and lifestyle. The walk was at a perfect pace, and we all chatted along the way, flying the birds and learned so much about the mysterious ways of the hawks and the woods. We would both absolutely recommend this experience - I could write about it all day as it was so special. Thank you Anita, Sherlock and Guinness!

What a fantastic experience! Bridget and I had great fun getting to know Caffrey. The woodland setting was beautiful and unspoiled and Anita was very friendly and welcoming. She put us at ease and told us lots about her hawks and their behaviour. I would thoroughly recommend going on a Hawk Walk!

A rather belated THANK YOU from Mark, Oliver, Thomas and I to you and to London for our brilliant ‘hawk walk’!
We weren’t really sure what to expect so the whole experience came as a wonderful surprise to us all. Oliver and Thomas had just the best time, Thomas told me that no-one at school could believe he’d had a Harris Hawk on his arm and been feeding it squirrel. Both the boys learnt so much about birds of prey whilst with you and were so very pleased to have had the opportunity – they’ll remember it for a long time.
Mark also loved his rather belated birthday present – but it was well, well worth the wait. We both appreciated the love and respect you have for your beautiful birds and for nature and the landscape.

Hats off to Hampshire Hawk Walks and Anita – not forgetting the majestic Sherlock, the Harris Hawk. We had the most amazing, unforgettable experience with them, as a special birthday gift for my husband. It’s actually hard to express it adequately in words – it’s one of those things that you simply have to experience and be there.

The gentle walk across meadows and through ancient woodland was amazing in itself – but add to this the presence of a handsome Harris Hawk flying and swooping overhead, then the walk turns into something very special indeed. Sherlock, the hawk that Anita brought for our walk, was an absolute star. His flights were magical to watch, but nothing can compare with the experience of seeing this incredible creature swooping down to land gracefully on your outstretched, gloved hand.
And throughout the walk we learned more and more about these amazing birds, thanks to Anita’s wide-ranging knowledge and experience. Her passion for the hawks was clear, and it was a real privilege to observe the close working relationship and trust that existed between falconer and bird.
What a morning we had – like no other – memories forever. Thanks to Anita and Sherlock for sharing those amazing hours with us, and for letting us into their magical world.
